In fairness, the Tweet provided with the table qualifies it as Japan having the highest of any developed country in the region, but it's still weird to omit that qualifier in one's own paraphrasing.
- HTTP418 4y agoPretty sure author was comparing Japan's birth rate against similarly developed countries. The argument being made is that developed countries naturally have lower birth rates, Japan's is the highest out of all (developed) countries in the geographical region.
