I was disappointed that the article started with a map of the USA, but "the Supercharger network] the linchpin of their brand" is not solely an American perspective.
I recently took a trip from The Netherlands to Spain. I could pick a Tesla or a Hyundai Kona for the trip. I was very happy to have taken a Tesla. It was completely and utterly painless due to the Superchargers. For shits and giggles, I tried five other (non-Tesla) chargers: two worked, two did not work and one was extremely busy.
If any of my fellow Europeans ask, I'd recommend them a Tesla if they can afford it.

Enter the trip you took in A Better Routeplanner (https://abetterrouteplanner.com https://abetterrouteplanner.com) using the Hyundai Kona 64 kWh as your car. It will likely include Tesla charging sites in the route plan. Probably some of the same sites you used. I tried planning a route from Amsterdam to Madrid with the Kona on A Better Routeplanner. I configured it to prefer Tesla chargers over other sites. All but one of the charging stops used Tesla for charging.
