It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out, seems like a lot of people in both parties are pushing for this. Hopefully it also leads to a greater scrutiny towards the other social media companies. I'd rather this was pushed as a broad data security bill that target all of the social media giants rather than just targeting one of them, but this could be seen as a good first step. Hopefully the Chinese government doesn't lash out about this. They certainly have a long history of blocking US based websites.
