Washington state might Nix mandatory single-family zoning
- aschearer 4y agoSounds like a good plan going off the limited details in the article. That said, I'll believe it when I see it. I remember when Seattle's Mayor Murray tried to make similar changes in the city, and how quickly the plan was rolled back[1]. This would be even more significant, impacting the whole state, and I imagine homeowners will be highly motivated to oppose it. Fingers crossed I'm wrong. - lost_tourist 4y agoHow about minimizing all zoning laws so we can actually have small pubs, churches, meeting places, and stores in our neighborhoods. It would be a god send for suburbanites.
