First thing I did when I moved into my rental was disconnect the Wifi from the stove and refrigerator.
1) I don't want wifi on these things. I don't care what they can do for me.
2) I discovered they pump RF that was literally off my meter, making my kitchen an RF kill zone experiment.
Now, turning this wifi off was the difficult part. There is no method given in the manuals and even dedicated searching of forums couldn't turn up a magic maintenance code to turn them off.
I ended up using my RF meter to hone in on where the signals were coming from in the appliance, opening the back, or in the case of the fridge the top, finding the wifi chip and pulling it.
I've also heard it said that wifi access is desired so system operators can manipulate the appliances as needed. Under any condition: DO NOT WANT.
