I'm surprised by the "declining replacement purchases" since based on what I'm seeing/reading/hearing appliance qualities have gone downhill and they have become more complex meaning that more people are replacing their appliances sooner rather than getting them repaired.
- happytoexplain 4y agoThis could mean declining replacement purchases from the same company. When I have to replace an appliance, I frequently try a new brand because my experience with appliances is almost universally bad. Edit: Amazingly, 15 minutes after posting this, I discovered my Instant Pot is not heating.
