What about cost, and other metrics around cost (power usage, reliability)? If space is the only factor we care about then it seems like a loss.
- betaby 4y agoWhat about them? 1U servers from vendors are reliable and efficient - people use them in production for years. As for the cost, those hobby-style board are very expensive for dollars/performance. Indeed I'm not getting why would one want a cluster of expensive, low spec nodes?
