  > Google is freaking out about ChatGPT I doubt Google is “freaking out” but I’m sure they now have a heightened sense of urgency to launch a competing product ASAP. Honestly, they have the talent, technology, and means/resources to make it happen, so realistically, the only things I think put them at a disadvantage are bureaucracy and overall big company issues.

  Lots of smart people at Google feel that releasing their most powerful AI as is ethically dubious. I could've told you a decade ago that those notions would be cast to the wayside once it's time to compete for money.
