Is there any kind of protection against termination while being pregnant in the US? I know there are very few protections like that, but this does seem like a case that would come up more often in the situation "fired because they got pregnant". Which is something that only affects woman, so it does get into territory like protected classes where there are some rules even in the US. And why is this getting flagged to death? Google and these layoffs are certainly on topic here, and this case does reflect on Google in how they perform the layoffs.
