  Date definitely needed. I've heard all about this Google vs Sonos last year, and having this posted today I thought there was a new update. For what it's worth, there is some volume control functionality brought back now. Not sure about speaker groups (I only have a single Nest mini) but I can now control volume without being in the casting app.
