Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of gendered languages knows that latinx is a linguistic abomination, where the perfectly grammatically sensible neuter form latine exists. I’ve yet to meet a Latino or Latina who doesn’t laugh at gringos and their love of Latinx. Maybe they do exist, but far more common is an eye roll and accusations that we are sensitive to the point of parody.
