The future of flight is renewable hydrogen
- palata 4y agoIt all sounds great, but it is based on a single huge assumption: "it will be easy to get 'green' hydrogen". They make it sound like they found an alternative to oil, but that is wrong: the hydrogen needs to be produced first. Should we have enough energy, in a post-fossil-fuels world, to produce hydrogen for aviation, maybe it could work. The big question is: will we have that energy? I guess the aviation sector won't entirely disappear, but flying will be much, much more expensive. The aviation sector as we know it will probably end with the end of oil.
