In case anyone is considering taking this headline seriously, please don’t forget the safety advances you will be missing. Most 14 year old cars won’t have, say, a back up camera or blind spot detection.
- EricE 4y ago1997 is when side impact regulations were enacted - there hasn't been anything as dramatic since. Yeah, newer cars may have a few more airbags but feelings about those things can go either way. Especially if you are a smaller person - airbags are probably more dangerous than a help.
