- woooooo 4y agoOne of my principles is to be really suspicious of tribalism, especially the kind where they're putting words in the other tribe's mouth. Consider: https://youtu.be/rE3j_RHkqJc https://youtu.be/rE3j_RHkqJc
- braingenious 4y agoSo like, would accusing me of being a paid shill violate that principal? Out of curiosity, since you’re not in a movement or part of a group, who did you mean by “we” and “us” in the sentence “It's a jobs program for humanities majors where we pay them to tell us how awful we are” ?
- woooooo 4y agoI didn't accuse you of anything besides putting words in people's mouths. Watch the video, it's short and I think it would be enlightening. ("We" meant software engineers)

- woooooo 4y agoI was referring to professional DEI people and did not use the word "you" in that sentence. Are you one? That would track with the quality of this discussion, actually. Seriously, watch the video I posted and think about it. Consider the principle of charity in the HN rules as well.

- braingenious 4y agoI guess I’ll just continue this conversation. I’m not sure why you seem to think deleting your posts makes this not a public conversation. >I'm just a coder who posts occasionally. Small identity and definitely not attached to any movement. You’re just an individual without any ideological affiliation or movement, but you have such an acute sense of who is in what movement that you’re comfortable accusing strangers of being paid shills for posting jokes online?
