A bullet from his gun was found in the state trooper's abdomen, and I find it extremely hard to believe that Teran shot a state trooper after being shot multiple times, especially given cops' tendencies to shoot until a target stops moving.
- acobster 4y agoThat still doesn't mean he shot first.
- Quillbert182 4y agoIf the police shot first, he would be dead before he shot the officer.
- woodruffw 4y agoWhy? The concept of a "shootout" is well-understood; there's no particular to reason to believe that a cop shooting first is guaranteed to hit their target.
- kcplate 4y agoIt doesn’t, but that doesn’t matter. You still don’t get an “automatic cops won’t shoot you back” pass if they fired first.
