I completely agree but one unfortunate reality I've noticed as a still-active dvd collector / aficionado is where the heck to buy them. $4+ on ebay for an 80% chance low-res bootleg stopped working for me 3ish years ago and I still haven't found a preferable method without resorting to full on pirating which feels like a little too time-consuming of a hobby for more mainstream titles at least.
