Constructivism (Mathematics)
- 082349872349872 4y agoI think the reason constructivism is more popular in CS than in Maths is that we have processing steps which erase differences: whenever two things that were (syntactically) different turn out, after some computation, to be (semantically) identical, Excluded Middle is lost. Maths departments tend to deal more with being than becoming, so they tend to only bother with semantic equalities, hence can (inhabit a more elegant realm and) retain it.
