I checked my PC for this update and saw that it had already been applied three days before the article was posted. I suspect most people who have enabled automatic updates will have this experience. Just for fun I tried running Microsoft's Show or Hide Updates troubleshooter like the article suggested and got "An error occurred while troubleshooting. Error code 0x80070483." Sigh. No wonder everyone bashes Microsoft.
