A better approach would be to stop income/wealth taxes and just tax spending. Sales tax are much easier to implement and enforce, and require much less bureaucratic overhead.
- 082349872349872 4y agoIn a way, the normal US approach (income tax only) is just taxing spending, for if you have enough for the optimisation to be worthwhile, it is relatively easy to realise income only when one needs to spend it.
