What’s “toxic” about trying something different with your career? Most people will know after the first management experience if they really want to pursue the manager track, and if not, they can continue their engineering track.
- fargle 4y agoit's not toxic if you do it for good reasons. it's toxic if you realize that you can't get promoted doing what you like and take a job you hate and are bad at just to get a promotion. it's totally toxic if your idiot MBA management creates a culture of that.
