I was working out of Dalian and Beijing for a number of years straight after my postgrad as a software engineer / project manager. Great experience, learned the language, was given a lot of responsibility and it was either sink or swim. Lots of 16+ hour days, they worked me hard but I learned an awful lot. It's a great way to see the world, travel and get exposed to a completely different work culture / ethic. It's not for everyone but it is definitely an experience that you won't forget!
