I used my partners samsung recently. I needed to receive a call on her phone. It was muted and I wanted to turn the volume on. In the settings drop down was a greyed out button with a volume icon and the text "Mute". Does clicking that enable the mute setting? Turns out that just means it is muted. Checking the button made it update the text to "Sound". Such an awful design IMO. It wouldn't be so bad if it was Mute <slider> Sound But that takes up far too much UI space in the settings dropdown intended for quick actions
