Honest question - I've been using Ivory for the past week but it doesn't seem to do anything that Metatext or the Mastodon app didn't already do. What's so fantastic about Ivory? I feel like I'm missing something because everyone speaks so highly of Ivory.
Thanks!
- madeofpalk 4y agoI haven’t used those apps, but I figure it doesn’t do anything those apps don’t do. I just prefer Ivory’s UI. For me, it’s a nicer app to use.
- ceejayoz 4y agoIn my case, I've got years worth of Tweetbot muscle memory. Using different clients is... a little rough right now.
- zimpenfish 4y ago> Metatext I do like Metatext but development is paused (repo is archived) - and notifications appear to have stopped working. I'll probably end up back on Toot! at some point. (Tried building my own version from the repo but it breaks for some reason and I'm not an iOS dev who can figure out why.)
- josh64 4y agoI'll have a go at building it and if I'm successful I'll let you know. I honestly thought a proper fork would have started by now but that is not the case.
- amatecha 4y agoI think posting an "Unlisted" toot was one of them, though I could be wrong. I don't have the official app nor Ivory to check this.
