  As I wrote, I'm under no impression of privacy using any online service, and I don't have anything in those conversations that's sensitive (or even interesting). However, I do find it slightly dishonest that there's a "remove" button but it does not remove anything :) So I just wanted to let people know about that.

    Probably an issue with the thing they did recently. They temporarily removed all past conversations for everyone and now restored them all.
