I always assumed Apples default apps where value-add for the novice user. In my professional circle I’ve only met one other developer who uses Apple Notes. I was using OneNote for the longest time. I’ve liked OneNote for one reason: cross platform syncing. Everything else about it I hated. I especially hated the latest OneNote for Windows which gutted most of the cool features from OneNote. I’ve now switched to Obsidian. I use iCloud to sync with my phone. The only thing missing is cross platform and $8/month or $96/year for the rest of my life is just not worth it to me. So I manually sync to my Windows laptop when necessary.
