Being cross-platform has nothing to do with being open source. They are totally orthogonal. The article conflates both of them.
- Herring 15y agoOpen source stuff is often ported to other architectures because it's open source. The point here is using microsoft tools makes that difficult... though I'm not sure why anyone would find that surprising.
