Break down a complicated SQL query
- nullfield 4y agoI’m not sure how this… helps with anything. I’m pretty sure the YAML probably hurts comprehension, too - and the example isn’t really “complicated” when written as SQL (especially as formatted). YAML isn’t an all-purpose solution, has plenty of issues, and use for things like this is getting out of hand to the point it’s actively harmful. Especially to newcomers.
- revskill 4y agoThanks for the input. One of my use case is to reuse the template throughout queries, like you have with ORM, one to many, many to many. Basically all is the same query with different params only. This frees me from half-baked ORMs issue.
