My experience with THC is that it has a pronounced Ballmer Peak (see xkcd), with a higher high (heh) and lower low than alcohol. At just the right level and with the right environment (and jazz fusion album) it's a shortcut to flow state and serendipitous lateral thinking, but overshoot that and you'll just be forgetting what local variables are in scope..
