After a disaster with DropBox way back in 2011, most likely caused by my not understanding the DropBox algorithm and misconfiguring my systems, I stopped using 'The Cloud' for my storage.
Instead, I set up my own servers that were available via the Internet. Twelve-odd years later, I am perfectly happy with my home-grown solutions and am not subject to the whims or failings of some uncaring third-party.
