I'm just waiting for someone to replicate the ChatGPT model and open source it, like Stable Diffusion has done with image generation. There has been a Cambrian explosion of models in the image generation space, and I suspect chat-focused language models won't be far behind.
- rapsey 4y agoIt takes millions in GPU costs to replicate what they did though. Perhaps Google might do it to try to take the wind out of their sails.
