For a great example of an utterly different way of life, I recommend checking out the TV reality series "Port Protection" where they document the lives of people living a modern-day subsistence lifestyle in a small community on an island in Alaska. The only access is by boat or float-plane. By any definition these people are not rich but they are definitely happier than most city-dwellers IMO. I think there are 6 series now. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4838586/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4838586/
