- semireg 4y agoI’m an indie dev with a successful and growing desktop business app (electron) that designs and prints labels, barcodes, integrating data from spreadsheets, etc. I’m launching a new label printer brand that’s targeting non-shipping-label needs. Think: custom designed barcode labels for various industries. Both direct thermal and thermal transfer. As an indie dev I am contemplating my first hire - a product manager that can build out all the niche use cases, landing pages, and yes … customer personas for the printer+app+label combos. I’ve got a list of a dozen bundles but my focus is largely technical for the foreseeable future. Where would I look to hire someone with this talent? What are they called? What should I expect of them? Any pointers for effectively doubling my workforce? Me + 1?
