They just came out straight out of six years of hyper-inflation (that is: for six years they experienced 50% inflation per month). Turkey: 88% inflation in 2022. Iran: 52% inflation in 2022. Lebanon: even more than that. People in these countries may know very little about why money has value but it looks like the elite governing them don't have that much clue either if you ask me.
