There is a lovely game called ELIZA that is about using chatbot AIs for therapy. It is also about tech ethics and startup culture. It's made by Zachtronics.
It presents a realistic vision of AI-driven therapy, and leaves it up to the player to determine what their views on the topic are.

- lottin 4y agoYes, it comes as standard with Emacs too (M-x doctor).
- netule 4y agoThis is different, though named after the original chatbot.
- usrusr 4y agoI consider writing that article/post without any occurrence of the string eliza a clever form of trolling or at least something closely related. Some kind of lowball exercise for the reader or meta-joke. Or perhaps there was a paragraph, but it was dropped in a final quality check on the base of "if I read this I'd want those seconds of my life back. Why state the obvious?"
- Llamanator3830 4y agoI'm surprised not more people know about the original ELIZA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA. Also as another user has mentioned, this was also included in Emacs as M-x doctor.
- EricLeer 4y agoThe Corecursive podcast has also done an episode on the history of Eliza[1] [1] https://corecursive.com/eliza-with-jeff-shrager/ https://corecursive.com/eliza-with-jeff-shrager/
