Sure. - I can control it completely without looking at a screen. - It's easier to put my mp3s on there than it is to do that on a phone. - The battery lasts a lot longer than a phone - It has a headphone jack - No crappy software needed, it's just a USB drive as far as my computer is concerned.

  Does it? I have an android phone, but it's obviously been so long since I tried to put music on it I can't remember.

    You plug it in and copy what you want.

    It does, albeit in a shittier way than the dedicated players do. Instead of presenting itself as a removable drive, it uses the MTP protocol. Slower UX and but mostly similar to handling normal files.
