Prominent Pirate Sites Mysteriously Vanish from Bing’s Search Results
- MonkeyClub 4y agoAs the article states wrt Google, there’s nothing “mysterious” behind such disappearances, it’s just unacknowledged bans/removals from the listings.
- perfecthjrjth 4y agoThat's good. At least experienced people can find these sites, just as before Google came into existence. Better be underground and pirate, as that's what the powers-that-be wanted.
- sugarpile 4y agoDoes anyone know of a halfway decent _truly_ uncensored search engine? One that’s free from “morality” censorship at a minimum and ideally also resistant to DMCAs, etc…
- karmakaze 4y agoI was just imagining a not-google/not-bing index, but more like a Yahoo! directory that's searchable than a full crawler. I imagine it wouldn't be such a nice place because in addition to what you might be looking for there will be everything else that's normally filtered out.

I heard a joke from one Android game developer - "People don't look for apps on Google Play Store - they look for apps on Google.com"
