- spacemadness 4y ago“I have money and people told me I was smart while growing up” is the gateway to being an armchair expert on economics on the internet. I’m not even sure the latter is required, but I’m assuming it’s also a driver for folks here.
- NeutralForest 4y agoMy theory is that because a lot of people here come from CS/STEM, they think they can easily understand economics because they have a sufficient background in "hard" fields. You see the same with engineers/mathematicians/physicists who have a disdain for economics.
