Yes, I agree. I said as much in my most recent comment on a different article. Was a little disappointed there was no further engagement there, because it was nuanced enough to invite discussion: anything but an anti-natal/anti-immigration screed. My long term bet is that Japan is ultimately in a better spot with a declining population and restrictive immigration, rather than Western societies who are poaching from the third world to account for their own shortfalls. I predict the end result from the latter case will be a lot of unhappiness for all parties involved.
