Extreme Escalation of Brazil's Censorship Regime – System Update #22
- pelasaco 4y agoI think one of the best analysis of what is going on in Brazil. Greenwald and his husband are really enemies from Bolsonaro, but it didn't stop him to come up and say whats going on, regardless of the consequences.
- pelasaco 4y agoTwo interesting points from Greenwald: - The free internet is the most valuable innovation we have. - Your country will copy the censorship ideas from others if it works.
- matheusmoreira 4y agoThanks for posting this. I submitted his tweets and was flagged to oblivion. I'm seriously scared of what's happening in this country and this is the only place I feel safe enough to post anything.
- pelasaco 4y agoIt is hard to discuss about it, because out of Brazil, they are trying to create a parallel with the US Capitol attacking and then make things fit the rhetoric that Bolsonaro is the Latin version from Trump, which is just wrong in all together, but it doesn't matter now, and internally, everyone fears to be censored, arrested or fined by the Supreme Court which is ruling as Kings and Queens.
- matheusmoreira 4y agoYeah, we're living under a judiciary dictatorship right now and things are getting worse every day. I simply don't know what to do.
- pelasaco 4y agoBut the funny thing is that we are talking about internet censorship and nobody gives a thing. I am sure if the narrative was "right extreme government censorship in Brazil", the discussion would be different here.
