Pre-pandemic, I used to get sick about half the time I traveled. I've flown five or six times in the past couple years, and with proper FFP2 mask usage, I've been completely fine. Most people here are privileged enough to not work a service job or anything like that, so you do in fact have the opportunity to drastically reduce your likelihood of contracting contagious diseases.
