10 minutes in and the video is yet to explain how a large population doesn't burden the environment more than a small one. Instead, all that time was spent explaining how racist it is to worry about overpopulation.
I did not watch any further. Unless the author believes the Earth's ecosystems are doing just fine and climate change isn't a problem, then I assume he'd welcome any solution that reduced the human per-capita environmental impact by 50%, and would warn against any lifestyle change that increased it by 50%.
But we're supposed to ignore environmental impact that comes from population growth?
- anthonypasq 4y agowhat exactly do you mean by "burden the environment?"

- jacooper 4y agoYeah sure, we have seen the result of the anti-population growth movement in the west, western governments tripping over each other to attract immigrants and convince people to have kids. And from an immigrants perspective, that's actually great! Humanity won't stop because of climate change, we will simply adapt and re-order our lives to live with it, just how you think its impossible to live in 50 Celsius, yet people in the Arab gulf do so for most of the year. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/05/opinion/climate-change-should-you-have-kids.html https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/05/opinion/climate-change-sh...
