I found this through Chamath's substack this week. It's remarkable because Royce, a US aviator, had a dogfight with USSR planes flown by USSR airmen during the Vietnam War, and shot them down. I never knew before today that there was direct fighting between US and USSR soldiers - and, apparently that was because the government kept this incident quiet for so long.
