I feel the same way. In my experience doing software development consulting, this is the difference between a startup (5-25 people) versus a larger org (75+ people). The bigger orgs are all too happy to saddle you with endless meetings and agile busywork to the point that you're only actually coding about 5 hours a week. Startups on the other hand don't have time for all the bullshit because they're going to run out of money if they don't actually deliver. It's more stressful, more chaotic, but also more fun.
