It seems that freshwater pumped water storage could be one of the most cost-effective options especially paired with batteries for peaking. Adding it to the analysis would be useful.
- pjc50 4y agoBut there are very limited places you can put that. It needs a suitably shaped mountain.
- brilee 4y agoPWS is great but not scaleable. https://www.quidnetenergy.com/solution/ https://www.quidnetenergy.com/solution/ is one possible scaleable alternative that I haven't been able to crunch numbers on (the website details are scarce)
