Tell HN: I can see comment scores (of other users) after I upvote.
If you run a search and have already upvoted a comment (in some cases even this is not necessary, I think these cases are when the option to delete a comment has expired), you get to see the comment score! Is this supposed to happen? Or are they supposed to be completely invisible?
- Terretta 15y agoThe scores are shown after enough time has passed that they would no longer influence active voting. Check out some old threads. Unrelated to whether you up-voted.
- noahc 15y agoHere is a bit of a hack: http://www.hnsearch.com/search#request/all&q=The+scores+are+shown+after+enough+time+has+passed http://www.hnsearch.com/search#request/all&q=The+scores+... You can see the point scores if you do a search and find the comment on hnsearch.
- zeynalov 15y agoIt seems that is not always true. For example I searched my comment which is upvoted today several times a few hours ago, but it still show 1 point. But old comments are shown with their true upvote points. Needs sometime to save things in database by HNseach
- tstegart 15y agoAm I the only one who misses them? I come back to posts that have gone viral and they have hundreds of comments on them and its impossible to see who's making the great points without reading through everything. I like ya'll, but I don't want to read every single little comment.
