The announcement is canceled, but per leaks in that very post, Wizards still fully intends to move forward with their plans once the outrage dies down. This makes it incumbent on the community not to stop being outraged. We'll see how it shakes out, but it at least looks like Wizards' peers in the industry - Chaosium, Paizo, etc. - aren't standing for it.
