Ask HN: How to easily generate audiobooks from text?
I‘m a big fan of audiobooks since I love books, but am trying to reduce screen time. Given that statistical models can generate quality speech from text and since text is an efficient storage medium, I wonder if there are text to audiobook systems around. Anyone here who knows such a system or has tips on how to hack it together? Like a static site with some Javascript and API calls or some screen reader app maybe?

- akulbe 4y agoMy use case is different than yours, but I think you can accomplish what you want. I'd check out naturalreaders.com
- m348e912 4y agoI second naturalreaders. You can upload pdf and epub files, and it will read it to you.
