This sounds like just the kind of thing I've been looking for. Would anyone be willing to comment on whether or not it's worth taking a semester off from college to do HS?
- happy4crazy 15y agoI was in batch[0], and would say yes. If you can swing the time off, Hackerschool would be an incredible experience. Nick, Dave, and Sonali are some of the nicest people I've ever met--they were born to do this. They attract similarly awesome people to the program, so Hackerschool's vibe is as good as it gets: smart, friendly people doing nothing but help each other learn.
- karlgusner 15y agobatch[1] alum here, although you never really graduate from hacker school. I would highly recommend taking time off to do hacker school. HS was more valuable to me than any of the CS classes I took at UC Berkeley. At HS you will learn new languages, SHIP code and work with brilliant people. Nick, Dave and Sonali are some of smartest, kindest and most helpful people you will meet, so go for it!
