How's your Finnish? https://cooperandhunter.com/split/files/docs/support_20190201151407139.pdf https://cooperandhunter.com/split/files/docs/support_2019020... magazine review from 2019 I think. Says at -20F you still get around 3x COP energy ratio. On the other hand the air to air heat pumps they are testing cost three times as much as a regular one. Unfortunately they say the worst temperature is just above freezing where the air can still hold plenty of damp but quickly be cooled below freezing to turn the damp to ice... Cold but damp being the description of British winter. The American idea of winter air cracking with dryness and running a humidifier indoors doesn't really exist here. They are currently free of sales tax in the uk though. Tricky to work out which models are designed towards heating rather than cooling. Hopefull though but still begs the question if they are so great why are most people still buying night storage heaters and such? Just a lack of skills? Annoyingly they are only £600 for a decent japanese one and connected a £90 vacuum pump for half an hour, look at the guage to see if its holding a vacuum and then turn an allen key to release the gas. It looks not too hard but we are not allowed to buy them incase we pollute the enviroment with refrigerant, just out of reach...
