Yep something I keep seeing in his interviews and posts is that he will talk enthusiastically and at length about how some external events caused FTX difficulties, but will ignore or hand-wave some actions that he actually did. The impression I get from them isn't "oh this is a really unlucky guy" though, it is "oh this guy is quite a skilled manipulator".
